在這個數位時代,影像作品的拍攝與資訊科技已密不可分。課程中的實作即能訓練同學此一能力,當中尤其重要的是觀念的養成,提供同學日後隨其興趣繼續探索與發展的可能。 In this digital age, the shooting of image works is inseparable from information technology. The practical exercises in the course can train students to develop this ability. What is particularly important is the cultivation of concepts, which provides students with the possibility to continue exploring and developing according to their interests in the future.

課程中討論到個人性的攝影(私寫真)、邊緣人的攝影等,可讓同學在認識攝影家與作品時思考其創作所涉及到的倫理問題,增進其道德思辨能力。 The course discusses personal photography (private photography; Japanese: Shi-Shyashin), photography of marginalized people, etc., allowing students to think about the ethical issues involved in their creations when getting to know photographers and their works, and enhance their moral thinking abilities.

影像創作與創意密不可分,對影像的鑑賞亦需審美能力的配合。課程中對各種影像作品的介紹與分析,能提升同學創意與審美的能力。 Image creation and creativity are inseparable, and the appreciation of images also requires the cooperation of aesthetic ability. The introduction and analysis of various image works in the course can enhance creative and aesthetic abilities of students.

人文關懷能力 Humanistic care skills

課程以「影像觀點」為題,即是特別看重影像「背後」的觀點,而課程中所討論的紀實攝影、紀錄片就是最具人文關懷的作品。對這些作品的介紹與解析,亦是期望同學深入認識影像作品的此一面向,日後能以不同的方式看待此類作品。 The course is titled "Viewpoints of Image", which means that special emphasis is placed on the perspectives "behind" the images. The documentary photography and documentaries discussed in the course are the most humanistic works. The introduction and analysis of these works also hope that students will have a deeper understanding of this aspect of video works and be able to view such works in different ways in the future.
